It's not really surprising that how artworks and contests can spark dissatisfaction and even envy. But it makes me wonder how can someone (especially some being artist themselves) can bring themselves to come up with variety of complaints and accusation of the artworks people do. Especially to winners of art contests.

Heck. I am envious of my buddy, ~sexyblue, for winning the recent Okami contest here in DA. But who cares? Haha. He won it fair and square. It was the judges' decision. The entries were made for a purpose; to please the judges. It may sound a little wrong but aren't entries for contests were submitted solely for that reason?

People who whine and bitch about not winning or not having some of their favourite entries winning are really unprofessional and immature. Especially those who are artists themselves.

Just look at it this way; for the great entries who didn't win - be proud that you have created a good artwork whether you win or not. You don't need any validation from anyone if you have achieved what you've wanted to create in your artwork.

Bah. I don't think I'm making myself clear right now. Just that, the aftermath of this contest took a very disappointing turn. These people who made all these complaints are really pitiful.

And I'm not taking Ed's side just 'cause he's my friend. I have seen a lot of amazing entries too. Too many that I didn't even think this silly blue idiot would win. Hahahahaha.

I've been away for a pretty long time. Probably close to 6 months or so.
My day job's been merciless ever since 2008 began as I was given the opportunity to lead a team as an animation director/senior animator. But the project is great and it's definitely a challenge.

I haven't had the time to draw much but I'm trying to get myself back into it (Bad Jason!). So I'm interested in doing commissions. Sketch or characters commissions. I haven't confirmed the pricing at the actual types of art I'd do for now. But I'll be looking into. So hang on for a couple of days if anyone's interested.

I'll posted the details here once everything is ready. So meanwhile, go check out ~sexyblue. He does awesome artworks for commissions too.
